Good Day!
Heat, and more heat. Summer is finally here folks and camping season is in full force. Local campgrounds have been Packed here and we are sure your's is also.
Keeping cool has been the spirit lately and we would like to give you a few tips to help in your quest for a great camping excursion.
Air Conditioning.
Nothing worse than going into the camper after a hike and finding that there is not that much difference to the outside air. To help your AC work effectively you must keep the filters clean on your unit. Either replace or clean them according to your manual. Another tip from Chad out in the shop is to make sure you coils are straight and not bent, he says this makes a big difference. You can also clean your coils with an approved AC coil cleaner.
Refrigerator.
Level. We hear that a lot. And it might not be as important as it was 20 years ago, but why wouldn't you set your rv up to run more efficiently? When getting in and out of the frig make a concsious effort to make a list before you open the frig so you can limit the amount of time it is open instead of looking around.
Clean. The rear compartment of your frig is probably dirty...and you need to clean it. Vacuum out all the debris you can and ensure the burner for the lp system is clean. Bugs build nests in there and can reduce efficiency. To help improve airflow to the frig you can install a small fan in the outside compartment (a must for side vented frig's vs. roof vented) to increase airflow and make a difference in how cool your frig gets.
Vents.
Keep them closed. Use vent pillows or vent shades to block out excess light and heat. Keep your curtains and shades closed on the sunny side of your camper. Use window awnings and awnings to help reduce direct sun exposure to your camper. And last but not least limit the use of the main door opening and closing when possible.

Those dang mosquitoes!! And those pesky knats and no-see-ums!!!
Webster City RV has a solution for you in-stock.

Savvy folks have been planting geraniums in their window boxes for centuries, using the natural properties of the flowers to repel bugs. Today, the hard data exists that proves that the use of geraniums is more than a tradition passed down from generation to generation. Geraniol, a powerful ingredient extracted from geranium oil through a unique refining process, does indeed provide a natural – and extremely effective – insect repellent.

Available in a spreadable formula for scattering around the campsite to set up a perimeter, a spray on lotion, and wrist/ankle bands that last up to 120 hours and work great on kids.
Best of all Bug Band is DEET FREE. No melting of plastic, no needing to be registered with the EPA, non flammable, and it is non-toxic to animals or wildlife. Prefect for the kids or pets. Our customers love this product! One lady bought the spreadable formula, went to he campsite and applied it, and was amazed. So much so that she came back and bought 3 more!!

I have to hand it to you folks at Webster City for helping that boy out with the make a wish. I just did some volunteer welding for Adair County Conservation. It's good for the soul. I think for Brenda and I more and more we made the right choice in dealing with you and the folks at Webster City RV.
You create a "family" type of mentality or social structure with your customers. I think that is a good thing and will profit your business more and more down the road.
